All of our volunteers at Camelback are S.T.A.R.S to us and even more precious to God. Their safety, care, and growth are important. We will support children and youth volunteers in the following 4 areas:
Screen– The church works with the AZ conference in making sure each person working with children is properly screened through Verified Volunteers (https://www.ncsrisk.org/adventist/index.cfm) To get started please follow the steps outlined at the link above. Log in to your account using the First Time Registrant box. (Please note your user ID and password are case sensitive.)
- Select Pacific Union from the drop-down box.
- Select Arizona Conference from the second drop down box.
Train– We recognize the need for training and support of our volunteers. Opportunities for professional and spiritual growth will be provided. Some of these educational opportunities will take place at the local church, others will be given through the AZ Conference.
Appreciate-Volunteers can expect to be appreciated for their hard work and dedication throughout the year
Recruit– It is very important to work within a team in order to feel support and build relationships with one another. Ongoing recruitment of volunteers can be expected. In doing so, others can take part in realizing the vision.
Supply-Proper and adequate supplies necessary for doing ministry effectively will be provided.
Areas to Volunteer: Children’s Sabbath School, Youth Sabbath School, Discovery Club, Adventurer Club, Pathfinder Club, Welcome Home Project, Music for the Different Age Groups
